Leave the door and drawer open after washing.Letting the drum and dispenser air-dry stops mould building up in the door gasket, which is the main cause of musty-smelling laundry.
Run a monthly descaling cycle.Dubai's hard water leaves limescale on the heating element and inlet valve. A hot empty wash with a descaler keeps both working efficiently.
Don't overload the drum.Overloading strains the bearings, shock absorbers and motor, and leaves clothes less clean. Fill to about three-quarters of the drum at most.
Use the right amount of detergent.Too much detergent leaves residue, causes excess suds, and can trigger drainage errors. Use HE detergent in front-loaders and follow the dosing guide.
Check your hoses twice a year.Look for bulges, cracks or damp patches around the inlet and drain hoses. Replacing a worn hose early prevents a sudden flood.
